I specialise in family law and was previously a partner in another regional firm for over twenty years before joining Neves.
I have significant experience in all areas of family law including but not limited to divorce, finances and child related disputes.
I was previously a member of the Law Society Children Panel.
I regularly draft agreements in relation to:
I advise in relation to financial provision for children and, where necessary, will pursue court applications under Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989.
I have numerous interests out of work not least of which is my family.
I enjoy the theatre but it is costly. I most recently watched The Ferryman. Mary Stuart next which I’m looking forward to.
I don’t read as much as I’d like but A Suitable Boy by Vikram Seth kept me grounded for a while. I’m contemplating War and Peace and may for a while yet.
I enjoy sport and Rugby in particular. I watch Bedford regularly which is a joy and Scotland which, until recently, wasn’t.
I have walked quite a part of the Camino in northern Spain and the Hadrian’s Wall Walk is on my to do list, like so many other things.
On any application to court in relation to arrangements for children, the Judge will presume that the involvement of a parent in a child’s life will be positive and in the best interests of the child unless there is evidence to the contrary.
