How can Neves support your business?

Employment law can be a minefield for any business owner and with constant changes, updates and amendments it can prove a real headache and prove a distraction from the day-to-day running of your business.

We have an experienced team of employment lawyers that can provide the support and guidance you need to manage your personnel in the best way possible and advise on you how to avoid common mistakes and pitfalls that can have costly and time-consuming consequences.

Our team covers the full spectrum of employment law and also works closely with the commercial law department to provide seamless and commercially focussed advice, tailored to meet the individual needs of your business.  We can support you with:

  • Employee/contractor/zero hours documentation, policies and procedures to assist with the management and improvement of your workforce;
  • Responding to and advising on employment tribunal claims (and avoiding them where possible);
  • Redundancy procedures if the need, unfortunately, arises to make cuts or changes to your workforce;
  • Any transfers of employees if you choose to buy or sell a business or in source or outsource work (i.e. IT support, cleaning) and understanding your ‘TUPE’ obligations.

Our clients

We work with all types of employers, big and small, start-ups and multi-nationals and our advice is tailored to suit the needs and requirements of the individual client. It does not matter if you have 1, 10 or 100 employees, we can work with you to find pragmatic, cost-effective and commercially sensible solutions.

Our Employment Law service

Our Employment Law solicitors based at our Milton keynes office will meet with you for an initial, free of charge consultation to explore the issues you face or understand the needs of your business. This will then allow us to explore all of the options open to you and put together a tailor-made plan of action moving forward. During our initial meeting, we aim to discuss your objectives, your timescales and also your budget.  We can then ensure any advice given meets your needs.

We can also provide training and guidance for your management team or staff members to develop your business and try and avoid employment related issues arising in the future. This can increase productivity and the overall well-being of your workforce.

How much will it cost?

We do not aim to be the cheapest option but strive to be the most cost-effective. Our initial consultation with you is free of charge and we aim, where possible to work on a fixed fee basis. This can sometimes be difficult and subject to change. If costs in your matter are likely to be higher than estimated, you will be told immediately. Our billing system is such is that we interim bill on a manageable and affordable basis to avoid the fear and strain of a large legal bill at the end of a piece of work.
