Here at Neves, we know that family life isn’t always plain sailing. Due to the emotion involved, family disputes can often be the most complicated to resolve. Without structured legal support from an early stage, it’s easy for family issues to develop into bitterly fought court battles, costing your family stress as well as time and money.
We recognise that each family is different and has its own special circumstances, which is why we will always take the time to listen to your situation in full. From here, we will be able to provide tailored advice on how best to protect your interests whatever the issue – adoption, cohabitation, securing contact with children or grandchildren or divorce.
Whatever your issue, understanding your legal position at an early stage is beneficial in resolving matters as quickly as possible. When you instruct one of our Family Lawyers, we will provide you with a clear, jargon-free understanding of your unique legal position and an estimate of the time and costs involved. If unexpectedly, the work is likely to exceed these costs we will inform you straight away before we proceed.
Our specialist team has vast experience in many aspects of Family Law. Some of our experts are on the Law Society's Panel of Family Law Specialist Lawyer, are members of Resolution (Resolution is a community of family justice professionals who work with families and individuals to resolve issues in a constructive way) and are trained in collaborative law. Some of our solicitors also hold a Specialist Accreditation in Children Law. We understand that experiencing disagreements within the family can be extremely stressful so choosing the right family lawyer to support you through the process is essential. Our aim is to enable you to move from a painful present to a stable future with minimal fuss, and if possible, we will attempt to achieve this through Alternative Dispute Resolution to save you the costs of court. We can negotiate a settlement for you, refer you to mediation or sit around the table with you, your partner and their lawyer in the collaborative law process. In other cases, where agreement at an early stage is not possible and detailed knowledge of the law, legal procedure and local practice is essential, our lawyers are here to help you and your family.
We can advise on all legal aspects of a family related legal matter:
If you are currently facing a family-related legal issue such as separation but are concerned about the costs involved, get in touch with one of our family solicitors today. We offer a highly competitive charging rate, allowing our clients to pursue a positive outcome without having to worry about finances. There won’t be any hidden costs when you receive your bill and we’ll be upfront from the start about how much it will cost and the kind of work that will be involved in your case. A lot of information, sometimes personal and sensitive, will be exchanged during the course of your dealings with a solicitor and you need to make sure you are confiding in somebody who you feel you can trust and can build a rapport with. Our Family Lawyers are happy to talk directly with you when you first contact us and will arrange your initial fixed fee meeting with us.
Our Fixed Fee first meeting gives you an hour with a specialist family lawyer. During this meeting, we start by asking you to explain the background, your priorities and concerns. We understand that everyone has their own set of circumstances and their own worries. You can use this meeting to get answers and hopefully set your mind at rest. We then give you legal advice about where you stand.
Our fixed fee for an initial 60-minute meeting costs £150 plus VAT. Read more about what to expect at your meeting with your family solicitor.
If you think that a fixed fee meeting in person or by video might help you, then please do get in touch with the Family team by calling 0330 0945 500, email email@example.com or complete our online Contact Form and we'll get back to you.
Happy with active "prosecution" of my case and supportive attitudes by Beth.
