Career History
I am an experienced commercial property solicitor having qualified since 2017. During my career, I have worked for a variety of law firms ranging from multi-national to local high street firms, gaining valuable insight and knowledge along the way. In addition to working for traditional law firms, I have also worked for the Financial Ombudsman Service and acted as in-house legal counsel for Toni & Guy. Having spent much of my career working in London, I have gathered a following of loyal commercial clients who I continue to act for.
Recent Cases
I have acted for a variety of clients ranging from individuals, high net worth clients, small corporate entities, partnerships and LLPs to acting for lenders in a variety of commercial property and secured lending matters - ranging from commercial leases, assisting limited companies in secured lending matters, the acquisition of freehold and leasehold property to working on the purchases of large shopping centres and hotels.
To provide a snapshot of matters that I deal with:
- Commercial Property - New Leases and Renewals (acting for Landlord or Tenant)
- Commercial Property - Sales and Purchases
- Commercial Property - Refinancing
- Secured Lending - for both limited companies and individuals on BTL properties
- Providing Independent Legal Advice on Guarantees
What makes me human
I enjoy spending time with my family and young children - taking them to parks and on walks. In any other spare time that I may have, I can usually be found watching sport or playing golf.
Commercial property leases are complex and intricate legal documents that regulate the relationship between landlords and tenants. Among the myriad of clauses within a lease, the “yielding up" provisions are one of the most critical and, if not properly drafted, can result in significant expense for the landlord or tenant when the lease ends.
I just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work in helping us complete the lease. It’s been an eye opener for us of what is involved and learnt so much from your expertise and experiences. Thank you for all the advice and support you have given us both.
