Career History
Having studied at the London School of Economics and the College of Law, I qualified in 2007 and worked at a national firm in London, specialising in contract and healthcare law, before living in Chicago for a time with my family. Returning to the UK in 2016, I developed the commercial offering at a local firm, before moving to Neves in autumn 2019 to join the Company Commercial Department.
Recent Cases
I work for a range of clients, including Local Authorities, NHS and healthcare bodies, large companies, SME's, partnerships and sole traders.
With a strong personal interest in education, I am lucky to deal with commercial work relating to schools, including conversion to academies, joining multi-academy trusts (MATs), property matters and compliance, as well as working with clients in respect of nursery and early years settings and acquisitions.
I advise businesses and owners on a range of matters, including:
- Business structuring
- Business sales and purchases
- Asset sales
- Share sales
- Shareholder agreements
- Partnership agreements
- Responsibilities and liabilities of Directors and unincorporated business owners
- Articles of association
- Service, supply and licencing arrangements
- Franchising
- GDPR, data protection and website compliance
- Terms and conditions and terms of service
- Sale, purchase and leasing of commercial property
- Management companies
- Option and promotion agreements
- Independent legal advice (ILA) in respect of personal or director guarantees for mortgages and finance
- Business continuity planning

What makes me human
Outside of work my two young children keep me busy – whether it’s exploring the local parks or beating me at Monopoly. I am passionate about education and serve as a Governor and on the PTA at local schools, and when I get the chance I like to try new things – from rock ‘n’ roll dance classes, to trying my hand at making stained glass or striking my own coins at the Royal Mint!
The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the body responsible for monitoring compliance with data protection legislation, has been in the news a lot recently. Investigating complaints against businesses and handing out reprimands and hefty fines – including to Hello Fresh, the Central YMCA and marketing firms, Outsource Strategies Ltd and Dr Telemarketing.
Thank you so much for your timely support and provision of the required documentation/evidence to enable us achieve this objective. This is very much appreciated by my wife and I. Thank you Jessica for always picking up my calls despite the current lockdown situation. Definitely will be referring friends to Neves/Kim Sayer.
