Career History

I was admitted as a Solicitor on the 15th of May 2007 and since I have been working mainly in Private Client Departments in practices based in St Albans and London, gaining a great deal of experience in Private Client Matters including Business and Trust Wills, Inheritance Tax Planning, Power of Attorney, Court of Protection Applications, Probate Applications and Estate Administration, including negotiations with HMRC. I joined Neves in July 2018.

I am an Accredited Member of The Association of Lifetime Lawyers (formerly Solicitors for the Elderly) and an Affiliate Member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP)

Experience

My area of expertise is Probate Applications and Estate Administration, but I do very much enjoy working with the elderly, local charities and hospices. I wholeheartedly support National Charities, Marie Curie being my favourite one.

I have experience in private client matters, including:

  • Probate and Estate Administration Services of taxable and non-taxable Estates
  • Applications for Grant of Probate/ Grant of Letters of Administration
  • Court of Protection Applications
  • Deputyship applications
  • Powers of Attorney and Capacity Issues
  • Registration and advice on Enduring Powers of Attorney
  • Elderly Client Matters
  • Preparation of Wills for individuals, married couples and unmarried couples
  • Inheritance Tax Planning

My aim is to provide advice to clients at the highest standards possible and to assist them in making informed decisions. I take a compassionate yet professional approach to my work which has given me the ability to communicate effectively with my clients and to be empathetic whilst being able to forge and sustain a professional relationship with them.

What makes me human

I love spending time with my girls and friends, attending my local church where I assist in the junior church, going for long walks, attending my local gym, listening to Latin music and watching crime thrillers, especially Columbo.

Daphne Frank’s devasting account of her mother falling victim to a predatory marriage highlights the need for better protection of vulnerable people who could be targeted by abusers. For more information - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-57405590
